Park Factors

There's a mixture of weather conditions on Tuesday with temperatures ranging from 60° in Boston to 90° in Minnesota. High air pressure is expected for most outdoor games today, which is a factor that reduces fly ball distance.

The top offensive environment on Thursday is in Denver where Coors Field is actually playing a bit more pitcher-friendly than usual. It will be 70° at start time for Marlins / Rockies before dipping into the low 60s in the later innings.

Some of the best hitting conditions outside of Coors are in Minnesota and Kansas City where it will be in the 80s with minimal wind impact. Neither park is particularly suited for homers (especially Kauffman Stadium) but the duo are both good for doubles as a result of the large outfield (KC) and tall fence in right (MIN).

The wind is expected to blow in from left at Steinbrenner Field this evening for Blue Jays / Rays. The open-air minor league venue has been highly receptive to wind this season, making the deep left field fence more difficult to reach on Tuesday. The short porch in right should be just as accessible though.

The worst hitting weather on Tuesday is in Boston where it will be in the low 60s with high pressure and in-blowing wind from right. Most of Fenway's hitter-friendliness comes from hits inside the yard, though, which makes the run environment fairly resilient to bad weather. It's rated neutral for runs this evening and negative for homers.
