Hitting conditions will tilt back towards favoring hitters on Thursday with temperatures in the 70s and 80s with lower air pressure than in recent days. Two of the league's top run-producing venues, Coors Field and Fenway Park, sit atop the slate for best run environment. Both stadiums will be playing as hitter-friendly as usual on Thursday.

The warmest game on the slate is in Detroit where it will be in the mid-80s this afternoon. Comerica Park isn't the best venue for homers but the good weather pushes it close to playing neutral this afternoon.

The wind is blowing in at Steinbrenner Field this afternoon, making the minor league venue only moderately good for home runs. The park has played much differently this season depending on the wind direction as the open-air stadium has proven to be receptive to even single-digit wind speeds.

Great American Ball Park is back on the slate for a 4-game weekend series. As a reminder, the usually elite home run venue has been downgraded this season as it's allowed fewer home runs than expected given the balls that are getting hit there. It takes a lot to make a mid-season park adjustment, but it's been clear the park isn't playing near what it has been in past years.

Has an extra-large outfield to accommodate much farther carry distances. Excellent for batter contact as the high altitude limits pitch effectiveness.+0.49+0.86+1.28+2.52

Similarly, the 18-foot-tall fence in center offsets the close distance to home plate. While the tall fences help neutralize homers, they are excellent targets for singles and doubles.+0.00+0.87+1.22+1.71
