The first day of the Divisional round will kick off with good hitting weather in Milwaukee. It will be in the mid-80s for Cubs / Brewers this afternoon with low air pressure - two factors which help the ball carry farther. The shallow center field third at American Family Field is a good spot for homers, especially when conditions are favorable. It isn't the best venue for in-play hits as the shallow gaps make the outfield easier to cover. The +33% number for HRs on Saturday equates to about 0.75 additional homers per game for the stadium/weather combo.
Fairly neutral conditions are expected for Yankees / Blue Jays with mid-70s in Toronto. The out-blowing wind is a non-factor at Rogers Centre.
The small outfield in Philadelphia will be slightly more vulnerable to the long ball this evening with 80° expected at start time for Dodgers / Phillies. The warm temperatures are counteracted some by higher air pressure.
T-Mobile Park is the only venue favoring pitchers today. Temperatures in the high 50s paired with high pressure will make the stingy run environment in Seattle favor pitchers even more for Tigers / Mariners. The -14% number for runs represents about 1.2 fewer runs on average based on the stadium/weather combo.
