Pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park will play even more difficult than usual for hitters this evening with mid-50s expected in Seattle. Although the retractable roof could be put to use with a chance of rain near gametime, it's more of an umbrella than a full enclosure. It prevents rain delays but only warms the stadium by a few degrees.
T-Mobile Park features one of the smallest outfields in the league, which is out of necessity as the ball doesn't carry particularly well in Seattle. The venue has also proven to boost strikeouts over the years, likely due in part to the low altitude and a tricky batter's eye. It's rated neutral for homers this evening and negative for runs and in-play hits.
