Temperatures will tick up from recent levels on Saturday with 4 games in the 80s and only one below 70°. Sutter Health Park is once again the top venue for offense where the normal out-blowing wind will be paired with low air pressure (which is better for carry). The minor league venue is highly receptive to wind, and the typical out-blowing pattern has made SHP a top park for homers this season.
Some of the best hitting weather on Saturday is in Minnesota where Dbacks / Twins will feature the combo of low pressure and temps in the 80s. Although a breeze is blowing in at about 9 mph, that shouldn't matter too much as Target Field isn't very receptive to wind.
Speaking of wind that can be ignored, both Oracle Park and Citi Field are featuring out-blowing forecasts of higher than 10 mph. While Oracle Park is affected by wind, the forecast isn't indicative of how it behaves on the field. Out-blowing wind is called for 98% of the time in SF but it's often swirling and unpredictable inside the stadium. The tall stadium walls at Citi Field mostly block the wind from making it to the playing surface.
The run environment at Fenway Park is rated close to its usual hitter-friendly mark. The wind blowing out to left on Saturday provides a small home run boost for fly balls hit toward the green monster.
Wrigley Field will benefit from light wind blowing out to left field this afternoon. Although it’s only single-digit speeds, the open-air venue is receptive enough for light breezes to have an impact.
