More excellent hitting weather is slated for Tuesday with some of MLB's top home run venues being paired with warm temperatures. Out-blowing wind will be featured at a handful of parks, including both Rate Field and Camden Yards where it will be above 80° with a moderate breeze blowing out to left.
The most impactful wind on the slate is in Sacramento where the usual double-digit gusts will follow their typical "out to left center" pattern. Sutter Health Park is the top rated venue for both runs and homers on Tuesday.
Some of the best weather for hitting is in St. Louis where the normally pitcher-friendly Busch Stadium will be leaning in favor of hitters on Tuesday with high 80s at start time and moderate wind blowing out to left-center.
It will be close to 90° at start time in Cincinnati where the small outfield should be more vulnerable to long fly balls this afternoon. As a result of the heat, Great American Ball Park is rated positive for homers on Tuesday despite the recent downgrade by the model.
The out-blowing winds at Citi Field and Oracle Park can mostly be ignored on Tuesday as the wind forecast doesn't come into play as expected at either venue. Oracle was designed to neutralize the effects of the wind, and the tall stadium walls at Citi typically prevent the wind from making it onto the playing surface in a meaningful way.
There's a chance of rain in Milwaukee for Pirates / Brewers this evening. The folks at American Family Field have been intent on keeping the roof open lately, even with a possibility of rain. It's being assumed open for now in the chart below, but will play close to neutral for home runs if they decide to close it.
