Park Factors

The cooler weather continues into Saturday with 12 out of 14 games expecting temperatures below 80°. The main exception is once again Sutter Health Park where it will be a dry 95° at start time for Rangers / Athletics. The usual (and impactful) Sacramento wind is expected to blow out at around 10 mph. The other hot game on the slate is Dbacks / Dodgers with upper 80s expected at Dodger Stadium. The out-blowing wind is extremely typical in L.A. (it blows that direction basically every game), but it isn't usually quite this warm for Dodgers home games.

Mostly neutral weather is expected across the rest of the slate with the exception of higher air pressure in the Midwest (as indicated by the red "P"s in the chart below). Like cooler temperatures, higher pressure is a factor that reduces fly ball distance.

Coors Field and Fenway Park sit atop Saturday's slate as the best overall environments for offense. The two prolific run-producing parks will play close to their typical selves today with minimal weather impact in either direction. Fenway is rated neutral for homers and positive for hits inside the yard while Coors is good for just about everything.
